Premium by Łukasz Jemioł
After the last show Łukasz Jemioł, it was already certain that Polish designers see next year’s spring-summer season in the nostalgic style of the 70s.
Clothes from the latest collection by Łukasz Jemioł “Premium” presented by eg. TOP MODEL programme finalists- Marta Sędzicka and its winner Osi Ugonoh. The show ended with the appearance on the scene of icons of Polish modeling, Bogna Sworowska and Lidia Popiel. That was the honour to the muses that have shaped the tastes of designer and thet are not isolated- on the last Maciej Zień fashion show apeared Kasia Kowalska and Aneta Kręglicka.
The designer showed a new collection on the stage of the Grand Theatre National Opera in Warsaw. It’s an interesting choice, dictated by the desire to debunking of the place, as testified in interviews Jemioł. Especially that new works are inspired by the culture of “flower children” and sometimes the “free love.” However, the designer perversely added that it is “a hippie in a luxury edition”. And in no other way pace symbol theme was smuggled in both printings on fabrics, as well as make-up models.
The collection of silk dresses next airy maxi length, appeared oversize, leather jacket and rolled up sleeves and hats, you will see that the designer does not give the characteristic of his work and avoids literal play.
Sand colors, baggy sweaters and tops with a sporty pedigree, dresses tied at the waist drawstrings, prints, patterned costumes, shiny skirts and sexy, feminine necklines formed the basis of “Premium”. This mix of stylish nonchalance and elegance in the style of the 70s is what attracts the style of Łukasz Jemioł unusual and courageous woman.
