Revealing the name of main designer in Maison Martin Margiela caused a stir in fashion industry.Suzy Menkes who writes in Vogue and The International Herald Tribune decided to uncover the name of Mattieu Bllazy beacause as she said “they can’t keep such a talent under wraps”. This situation provoke also a discussion about anonymity. We live in the times when we can be on the backstage of every fashion show in in the whole world because of Instagram.

MMM are about to cultivate the anonymity rule which has been tradition from the foundation of the brand. It hasn`t been a marketing gimmick. The founder of MMM didn`t like glow flashes. The only comment about the situation that MMM made is that they are to continue the strategy of anonymity and the continuation of teamwork.
Due to strategy of MMM- the clothes have to speak to the customer, not the names that stand behind them.
